Man Utd star Jesse Lingard performs incredible trick shot
Newcastle are willing to offer Jesse Lingard a big increase on his £100,000-a-week wages if he moves to St James’ Park, according to reports. The England international is ready to leave Manchester United behind. Yet Joel Glazer is complicating matters behind the scenes.
Newcastle have signed Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood this summer as they look to stay in the Premier League.
Trippier was ready to leave Atletico Madrid for St James’ Park, while Wood was snapped up from Burnley - much to the dismay of Sean Dyche’s side.
Newcastle are now hoping to sign Lingard on loan, with the England international still their top target ahead of Tottenham’s Dele Alli.
According to The Athletic, Eddie Howe’s side are willing to offer the playmaker a big hike on his current £100,000-a-week wages if he moves to them this winter.
Yet United co-owner Glazer is complicating their bid to rescue Lingard from his United misery.
It’s stated by the publication that the controversial American’s fingerprints are ‘on this latest portrait of an unhappy player’.

Ralf Rangnick, United’s current interim boss, recently gave Lingard the green light to depart.
But Glazer and the board ruled out Tottenham and West Ham given their close proximity to United in the Premier League table.
Yet while they’ve been willing to talk to Newcastle, there are other things at play.
The report cites sources saying United’s current stance is ‘also influenced by events of the past’.
United have apparently previously clashed with Lingard’s camp because there’s a trail of thought that he’s only willing to leave now because of the money Newcastle are prepared to throw at him.
There are also some industry insiders who believe United fear letting Lingard go to Newcastle because they fear what the Toon ‘could become’ now they’re one of the richest teams on the planet.

He told the station: "The fact of the matter is if Manchester United are taking advantage of the fact that Newcastle's owners have plenty of dough [money].
"I'm not happy with it because they [Newcastle] should've got the same deal as when Lingard went to West Ham.
“If they got £12million off West Ham last year for the same deal, okay, fair enough.
"But if they're just trying to take advantage of Newcastle and it's affecting the boy, I'm not happy. I just want to see Jesse Lingard play."
Former Chelsea and West Ham striker Carlton Cole also took aim at United.

“I think it’s bang out of order that Man Utd are doing this to him,” the pundit said.
“That’s not Lingard’s value. He doesn’t play.
“They’re not looking after the player’s welfare.”
Lingard isn’t the only player who could leave United before Monday.
Donny van de Beek is expected to depart on loan, with both Everton and Crystal Palace currently in the mix to secure his signature.
