Mauricio Pochettino’s reported pursuit of Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele could prove that he is not considering taking the Manchester United job. The Paris Saint-Germain boss has been linked with the Old Trafford hotseat but his transfer activity in France could rule him out.
United are still searching for their next permanent manager. There have been no reports that the Red Devils are close to finding the man to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ralf Rangnick was placed in interim control of the first team until the end of the season and it has not been ruled out that the German could be appointed on a full-time basis.
The 63-year-old has overseen a recent improvement and has only lost one of his 10 matches in charge.
But that has not prevented links with other bosses.

Pochettino has long been touted as a future United head coach. The Argentine and Ajax’s Erik Ten Hag appear to be the main favourites for the permanent job.
The former Tottenham boss, though, might have hinted that he will remain at PSG.
According to RMC Sport, Pochettino is taking on an active role in a deal which could see Spurs outcast Ndombele join the French giants.
Pochettino was in charge of the north Londoners when they made Ndombele their club-record signing in 2019.

However, he was sacked just four months into the 2019-20 season and fans never got the opportunity to see how the 25-year-old might have developed under his management.
Pochettino has refused to speak publicly about ongoing negotiations.
"I'm not talking about Ndombele because he's not in our club. PSG are open to progress, to improve. I think everything is open - one week left (in the transfer window)," he said earlier this week.
But his persistence to sign Ndombele, with the Argentine personally pushing for the player's signature, may be a hint that he has long-term ambitions in Paris.
