Arteta comments on Arsenal transfer plans ahead of January window
Arsenal should sign Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma who is "gettable" this month, according to former Tottenham striker Darren Bent. Arsenal have been linked with Bissouma in the past and Gunners fan Bent believes he would be the ideal midfield partner for Thomas Partey at the Emirates.
Bissouma has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Brighton.
Arsenal are on the lookout for midfield reinforcements this month, with Partey and Mohamed Elneny at the Africa Cup of Nations and Ainsley Maitland-Niles having left to join Roma on loan.
Granit Xhaka and Albert Sambi Lokonga are the only two senior options at Mikel Arteta's disposal and the former has been isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.

But the Spaniard said that was not a good enough reason to block the player's exit.
Arteta said last week: "We are very very short at the moment, but to be fair on a player this cannot be the only argument to try to keep a player, and a player who has been developed and raised through our Academy, and a player that has been patient in many moments to try to fulfil his dream.
"He was very straight with me, and I understood the situation and (for him) it’s a good option.
"So obviously we are going to move, and we are going to look for options, because we are very short."
