Brendan Rodgers has poured cold water over Frank Lampard's ambitious managerial plans with his latest comments on the Manchester United job. Rodgers is the favourite to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford if the latter is sacked but seems settled at Leicester City.
Adidas and Manchester United have launched their official 2021/22 home jersey, putting a modern twist on their classic club styles.
United have reportedly accepted that a managerial change is required after recent dismal home results against Liverpool and Manchester City.
Good performances by Solskjaer's side have been far and few this season, with inevitable brilliance from Cristiano Ronaldo regularly saving the situation from becoming a disaster.
Amid his successful tenure at Leicester, Rodgers is the United board's 'preferred candidate' to replace the Norwegian club legend at the helm.
And after backing out of negotiations with Norwich City earlier this month, Lampard is reportedly eyeing the King Power Stadium hotseat if, or when, Rodgers leaves.

But ahead of Saturday's clash with Chelsea, Rodgers has emphasised his commitment to Leicester and criticised 'disrespect' towards Solskjaer.
He told reporters: "Firstly, it's really disrespectful for you to ask the question when there is a manager in place at the club.
"Secondly, I can't comment on it because it's not real. I'm proud to be here at Leicester City. The only thing I'm thinking about is Chelsea and getting ready for that.
"It's frustrating for supporters and my players, but from a personal perspective, it's something that it's in the modern game, but something I have no focus on whatsoever."
