Marcos Alonso's decision to stop taking the knee earlier this season has been met with mixed reviews by fans and pundits across the world. However, with many claiming it is the wrong thing to do, Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson believes everyone can do as they please, despite his Liverpool side continuing their bit.
The Chelsea star announced his decision at the end of September, citing that the gesture was 'losing strength'.
The act of taking the knee was implemented on Project Restart after the tragic murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May 2020.
And it has garnered a superb reaction from fans across the English game, with the majority applauding the antics upon the start of every game.
Alonso's decision to not take the knee was met with some criticism by fans, although the full-back will instead point to the 'No Room for Racism' badge on his sleeve.

And Liverpool captain Henderson believes he is entitled to his own decision and that there is no right or wrong - although Liverpool players will continue to take the knee ahead of their games.
"Everybody's entitled to do what they will feel comfortable doing," the Reds captain told GQ.
"I know Marcos is against any form of racism, so we're all fighting for the same thing here and we all have the same message.
"But, for myself and the players at Liverpool, I think we are still in favour of it and that it is still having an impact."
