Newcastle legend Alan Shearer discusses the club takeover
Newcastle are being linked with big-money transfers and the best managers in world football following the £305million takeover by the Saudi-backed Public Investment Fund (PIF). No decision has been made on Steve Bruce's future, although reports indicate that he may not be in the job for much longer.
The likes of Antonio Conte, Lucien Favre and Frank Lampard are all being touted as potential targets.
And the January transfer window could see £200m available to spend without Newcastle falling foul of Financial Fair Play regulations.
It's exciting times for Newcastle fans and St James' Park is set to be even noisier than usual on Sunday when they host Tottenham in their first home match since the takeover was announced.
Co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi have been at the forefront of media duty this week with the former insisting their main plan is to make Newcastle title contenders by 2030.

A structure will need to be put in place though and the first port of call may well be to appoint a director of football or sporting director to help take over proceedings.
Gone are the days of football managers being solely responsible for what clubs do in the transfer market.
Now, a whole team behind the scenes is the way all top clubs in Europe operate with some enjoying huge success.
Arguably one of the biggest success stories in recent years has been what Edwards has helped achieve at Liverpool.

Edwards has been widely praised for his dealings in the transfer market since taking over as Liverpool's sporting director in 2016.
His ability to identify the right kind of player at the right price while offloading stars for large fees has helped maintain Fenway Sports Group's transfer strategy while pushing Liverpool to the summit of European football.
But news broke earlier this summer that Edwards would be stepping down from his role at the end of the season with no plans to renew his current contract.
Edwards' deputy, Julian Ward, is set to replace him as Liverpool's sporting director.
