Thomas Tuchel hails ‘unique’ N’Golo Kante after Chelsea win
Chelsea forward Timo Werner has explained why he didn't step up in the Blues' penalty shoot-out victory over Aston Villa on Wednesday. After a 1-1 draw in normal time, the two Premier League sides decided their Carabao Cup third-round clash from the spot.

Werner also expressed his delight with returning to the goals but described Chelsea's penalty triumph as 'lucky.'
He added: "[I feel] very good. It's good to be back on the scoresheet, of course, and good that we continue our wins to get to the next round of the Carabao Cup.
"We're happy because of the game; it was a good game for us. A goal opens up the game.
"In the first half, both teams were a little bit passive and didn't know what to do because of a lot of changes.
"But in the second half, after we scored the goal, we had a lot of pressure. But after this, we lost a bit of control, and Villa made it 1-1, but we showed a good reaction.
"We wanted to win the game in 90 minutes, and it's lucky we won the penalty shoot-out.
Thomas Tuchel credited Werner after full-time, as the Germany international ended his 10-match goal drought for the Blues.
"We brought him into a situation where he can score, this is what we want, and then it's on him to score. That's why he is here. It's the best feeling for a striker to score," Tuchel explained.
