Liverpool physio who put Harvey Elliott's ankle back in place speaks out on 'rare' injury
Liverpool star Harvey Elliott was forced off against Leeds on Sunday with a nasty injury.
Klopp comments on injury to Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott
Liverpool's physio Chris Morgan and club doctor Jim Moxon were first on the scene to help put Harvey Elliott's ankle back in place and the former has praised Leeds for their aid on the pitch. Mohamed Salah's reaction when Elliott stayed on the floor following a strong challenge from Pascal Struijk made it clear immediately of the severity of the injury.
The teenager was wincing in pain while Salah had to look away, pulling his shirt up to cover his face.
The medical staff were quick to rush on the field though and come to Elliott's aid, giving him gas and air.
Jurgen Klopp later confirmed that Elliott had dislocated his left ankle with the midfielder likely facing a lengthy spell out of action.
It was also revealed a few hours after the match that both Morgan and Moxon's quick action in putting Elliott's ankle back in place was crucial to his recovery.
JUST IN: Liverpool need two stars to prove Klopp right after Elliott's injury
And Morgan has taken to social media to thank those in the opposite dugout who also rushed to help.
"Thank you to our friends and colleagues from the medical team at Leeds United who helped us look after Harvey on the pitch yesterday," he wrote on LinkedIn.
"Rob Price and his team really treated him as they would one of their own.
"Thankfully those injuries are rare but the shared training we do as part of the FA led ATMMIF courses really comes into its own in those moments and to have Paramedics on hand is always hugely reassuring."

Liverpool went on to beat Leeds 3-0 with Struijk being shown a red card for the challenge on Elliott.
It was confirmed later in the day that Strujik was shown the red card due to the intensity of the challenge and endangerment to the Reds star.
Elliott is currently recovering in hospital and he's clearly been overwhelmed by the support he's seen from all over the world.
"I’m of course absolutely devastated with what happened yesterday at Leeds, but have been totally overwhelmed by the love and support shown to me by the entire football world following the injury," he wrote on Instagram.
"Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out or sent messages to me and my family, it means so much to us. Also a massive thanks to everyone inside Elland Road for the reception you gave me immediately after it happened.
"I am now fully focused on my recovery and will give everything in my rehabilitation to be back out there as soon as I can. I know I have an incredible support network behind me at Liverpool and together we will get through this.
"To all of the Liverpool fans, your support means the world to me. I’m one of you and I can’t wait to be back faster, fitter and stronger to help the team in the future.
"You’ll Never Walk Alone!"
