Ronaldo backed for successful second Man Utd spell by Bale
Donny van de Beek's proposed move to Everton was reportedly a 'done deal' before Manchester United intervened. The Dutchman was a late target for the Toffees, who wanted to take him on loan, promising him regular game time this season under Rafael Benitez.
Adidas and Manchester United have launched their official 2021/22 home jersey, putting a modern twist on their classic club styles.
The midfielder has struggled for game time since joining United for £34million last summer from Ajax despite being told he would have a big role to play at Old Trafford under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Instead, Van de Beek has struggled to enjoy his football at all after spending the majority of his time on the bench.
It's been a tough year for the 24-year-old, who then missed out on the European Championships through injury.
Yet Van de Beek did receive an exciting late approach from Everton towards the end of the window and he was ready to move to Goodison Park.

According to Fabrizio Romano, everything was agreed between the Toffees and the player before Manchester United caught wind of discussions.
"Everton on deadline day were more than close to signing Van de Beek," Romano said on the Here We Go Podcast.
"They had an agreement with the player, they had a project to make him a starter, to give him some game time. They were prepared to sign van de Beek on loan from United.
"He [van de Beek] is not so happy because he was not playing. In the first three matches, he hasn't played a single minute.
