Rodgers gives update on Maddison amid Arsenal links
Manchester United reportedly have 'no interest' in signing Corentin Tolisso this summer, opening the door for Arsenal to swoop in for a cut-price deal. Bayern Munich splashed out £38million on Tolisso four years ago, but injuries have hampered his time at the Allianz Arena.
He's played just 57 Bundesliga matches since joining Bayern in 2017 and it appears as though the German club are ready to cut their losses.
Reports have indicated that new Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann doesn't consider Tolisso as part of his plans going forward.
Bayern had supposedly been holding out for £17m earlier this summer for Tolisso.
But with the midfielder entering the final year of his contract, Bayern are seemingly desperate to get something in return now and have slashed their asking price.
Arsenal are keen to strengthen their midfield options this summer having already added Albert Sambi Lokonga.
A main priority appears to be someone capable of playing further forward and joining in the attack.
Tolisso is not renowned for his goalscoring prowess though and could be seen as another option to play more centrally.
Emile Smith Rowe is seemingly the current first-choice option to fill in the No 10 role behind the forwards.

Martin Odegaard was brought in for the second half of last season to help provide more depth in that position.
James Maddison has emerged as Arsenal's top target this summer to fill that role, but Leicester's asking price of £60m-plus is proving too costly for the Gunners at the moment.
A number of fringe players are expected to leave before the summer transfer window closes, which could help fund any more incomings.
Joe Willock is on the verge of joining Newcastle for £20m, while the likes of Hector Bellerin, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Reiss Nelson among those potentially leaving as well.
