Tottenham went on to win the friendly meeting 1-0 through Son Heung-min's 79th-minute winner.
After good work on the right side of the box from Japhet Tanganga, he laid off Son, who fired past Bernd Leno with his left foot.
Both teams were close to full strength in what would've approached as a dress rehearsal ahead of next weekend's Premier League kick-off.
With Harry Kane unlikely to be ready for the start of the season, Son will be relied upon to fill the role of Spurs' main man.
