Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku can finally fulfil his dream of emulating Didier Drogba at Stamford Bridge. Lukaku first joined Chelsea in 2011 but made just 15 first-team appearances before leaving to join Everton on a permanent deal in 2014. The Belgian came close to a return to the Blues in 2017 before Manchester United snuck in to seal his signature.

The Athletic claims Lukaku's dream when he first signed for Chelsea was to have success like his idol Didier Drogba.
And now, in the prime of his career at the age of 28, it appears he is going to be given that chance.
Lukaku would be joining a Chelsea side who are Champions League holders and they would hope he can spearhead their push towards the Premier League title in the upcoming season.
In 2015 Lukaku spoke of his admiration for Drogba, whom he spent one season as a team-mate of.
