And Chelsea will no doubt be hoping that his arrival could signal the end of Sanchez's time at Spurs to allow them to move for Kounde.
Sanchez started less than half of Tottenham's Premier League games last season after slipping out of contention at times.
The 25-year-old did manage to claim third place at Copa America over the summer though as he helped Colombia beat Peru in the third place play-off after they were beaten by eventual winners Argentina in the semis.
