Despite apparent interest earlier this summer, both Tottenham and Liverpool have reportedly cooled their interest in Lille defender Sven Botman. French outlet L’Equipe reported in May that Botman, who helped Lille to the Ligue 1 title last season, was a target for both Premier League clubs.
The 21-year-old played 37 games, as the French champions conceded just 23 goals last campaign.
He signed for Lille from Ajax in a £7.2million deal last summer.
Despite reported interest earlier in the window, Liverpool and Tottenham are no longer interested in the defender, according to journalist Robin Bairner.
He reports that Atalanta are favourites to land the defender, but Premier League sides West Ham, Newcastle, and Norwich are also interested.
Some of the bigger European clubs are said to be wary of his lack of top-level experience, which rules out moves from some of Premier League clubs featuring in the Champions League next season.

The Belgian has moved to Qatari side Al-Duhail after six years in north London.
And, in an interview with The Athletic in May, the Lille defender revealed that whilst he was focused on his current club, his ambition is to play for a big club.
“I’m lying if I say it’s not interesting me - it’s the first time such big clubs are linked to me - but it was early days because in January I was only at Lille for half a season," Botman said.
"It was nice to hear but I was focusing on Lille and I’m still doing this. After the season I will enjoy a vacation and see what happens next.

“I’m not the kind of guy who is already planning for the future.
"How it’s going with me now, I hope to someday make a good step to a top competition or a big club; that’s my goal.
"But I’m good at the moment with Lille. I’m really enjoying this year, I’m enjoying playing a lot. I learn a lot and I still have to improve a lot.
"I’m not complaining about my situation right now, I’m happy at the moment."
