Varane: All you need to know about Man Utd-linked defender
Raphael Varane will not struggle adapting to the pace of the Premier League when he signs for Manchester United, according to former Liverpool hero Luis Garcia. Varane is set to join United from Real Madrid to become the club's second major signing of the summer. Jadon Sancho has already joined from Borussia Dortmund for £73million.
Varane will arrive with four Champions League winners medals behind him.
However, many top players have taken time to adapt to the Premier League due to the intensity of the English top flight.
But Garcia does not think Varane will struggle with that, claiming he is more than quick enough to be a success straight away under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
"It looks like he wanted to come to the Premier League, so it's a big signing to be honest," Garcia told ESPN FC.

"He's one of the best centre-backs that you can see right now in Europe because he's quick, he's got a lot of experience, he arrived very young to Real Madrid.
"He had next to him one of the best centre-backs in history, Sergio Ramos.
"He's been in his shade for many, many years but we know that he's one of the best ones.
"If he arrives to a league where the intensity, the quick transitions, are the main factor for winning a game, this is one of the best players you can have because definitely he's very fast, he's quick, he's very good in the air. Also he can give you goals from set pieces."
Varane will be hoping to help United challenge for their first Premier League title since 2013.
Garcia says there is no doubt the signings of Varane and Sancho will make the Red Devils contenders again.
He said: "Yeah, definitely yes. With the team they had last season, it's true it wasn't enough because Man City did very well.

"There won't be many changes [from last season], one, two, maybe three if they can sign another one but with big players at centre-back that is very important if you want to be a big contender.
"And a player like Sancho, you know he can break every single defence, I think this is a team of course that is going to be a contender to win the Premier League."
