Nottingham Forest keep noses clean
SHEFFIELD UNITED 0 NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0
Billy DAVIES was forced to miss this match with flu and it proved to be a blessing in disguise as his Forest side were held to a dire stalemate.
Forest arrived high on confidence after big back-to-back wins and an 11-match unbeaten run which had helped lift them to third in the table.
But Forest found Sheffield United a tough nut to crack. Dexter Blackstock wasted the two best openings before the interval. Midway through the second half Blades’ Stephen Quinn’s control betrayed him when clean through on goal.
Substitute Henri Camara brought two saves from Lee Camp as Forest survived to remain the only side in English football with an unbeaten away record this season.
