Arsenal's senior players need to step up and perform, according to former Liverpool captain Jamie Redknapp. Arsenal suffered their 11th Premier League defeat of the season at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday. Raheem Sterling's early goal was enough to extend City's winning run in all competitions to 18.
Mikel Arteta was able to call upon left-back Kieran Tierney in a Premier League match for the first time in over a month.
The Scotland international impressed down the left, along with teenager Bukayo Saka.
Redknapp thought the duo played well but says there was not enough from captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, January signing Martin Odegaard and club-record buy Nicolas Pepe.
"Yeah I think [Tierney] did [well] and I think Saka as well," Redknapp said on Sky Sports.
