Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got his midfield tactics wrong from the start against Sheffield United, according to Red Devils legend Rio Ferdinand. United were aiming to return to the top of the Premier League table when they welcomed the bottom-of-the-table Blades to Old Trafford on Wednesday. However, Chris Wilder's side pulled off the upset of the season by coming away with a 2-1 win.

"Yeah well for the first half, Ole will be inside that changing room saying 'you haven't done enough to warrant going in with a goal on the scoresheet for yourselves'," Ferdinand said on BT Sport.
"You've got to put this team under pressure more.
"Listen, I think playing Paul Pogba and Matic as holders I think is probably the wrong tactical decision and I wouldn't be surprised if he changed it second half."
A VAR check was needed for Bryan's goal after Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp appeared to push goalkeeper David de Gea in the lead up to the header.
