Martin Odegaard appears to be edging closer to a loan move to Arsenal with Real Madrid set to sanction his exit this month. The Norwegian approached Zinedine Zidane earlier this week to inform him that he wants to play regularly in the second half of the campaign, requesting an exit.

Shirt number
There are four main options available in terms of shirt number, should Odegaard clinch his move to north London.
Mesut Ozil's No 10 shirt is free, upon his departure to Fenerbahce on a free transfer.
The No 11 shirt is also up for grabs and could prove a popular choice for Odegaard.
Emiliano Martinez's former No 26 shirt has also been made available as well as the No 27 jersey.

Clause rejected in talks
El Diario Vasco also report that Sociedad were desperate to include a clause involving a permanent transfer, as part of a loan deal for Odegaard.
It's thought that Real Madrid are currently just looking for a loan, before reassessing the situation in the summer.
Their approach was rejected with Madrid now pushing Odegaard towards Arsenal even though he is keen on Sociedad.
There have also been reports claiming Odegaard's entourage favour a move to the Gunners, despite the player's preference to remain in La Liga.
