Jurgen Klopp has admitted his Liverpool side are struggling to find form ahead of Sunday’s crunch Premier League match against rivals Manchester United. Liverpool come into the top-of-the-table clash on a run of three league matches without a win, while United are unbeaten in their last 11 league games.
Klopp’s side lost their last Premier League game 1-0 against Southampton - a result which followed frustrating draws against Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion.
The Reds’ shaky form has allowed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to overtake them and hold a three-point lead at the summit of the top-flight.
Despite their recent form, Liverpool do possess a fearsome record at Anfield, where they are on a 67-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, stretching back to May 2017.
United are unbeaten in their last 15 away league matches - a fact that promises an exciting and hard to predict showdown at 16.30 on Sunday.
"I'm looking forward to it, it's a great game," Klopp said to A Team Talk With Legends - Live.
"Two good football teams face each other, the away team doesn't have to travel too long, so that's good and it's a historic derby.
"There are many good things to say about it but it's a difficult one as well.

"It looks like United are flying at the moment, we're kind of struggling a little bit, that's how it is.
"We've not had the result we've wanted to have but we don't feel too far away from our top shape, so we've tried to use the time to get a bit closer and make it an interesting and exciting game.
"That's all I need to look forward to a game, so it's really exciting."
Klopp was speaking on a charity Zoom call with ex-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, former Liverpool manager and player Sir Kenny Dalglish and England manager Gareth Southgate.
He joined the discussion on Friday evening from Liverpool’s training ground at Melwood, having recently finished preparing his players for the weekend’s fixture.
"We trained at 4pm, I try to train at match time for minus-two sessions,” he explained.

"That's my thing, biorhythm and stuff like this.
"It's probably not important but I've done it for 20 years, so why should I change it?"
Victory for Liverpool would send them back to the top of the Premier League table on goal difference, while a United win would propel them six points clear of the defending champions.
Like Klopp, Solskjaer is looking forward to the momentous occasion on Merseyside.
"Every team goes into every game thinking they can win it,” he said.
“We know that we can beat anyone, anywhere on any given day. So to be able to go into a game like this, feeling if we play to our best that we can win, is a good feeling.
"It's a test and reality check for where we are really at because Liverpool at Anfield is one of the great challenges.”
