Chelsea: Should Lampard be given more time to succeed?
Chelsea have won just one of their last six games and are slipping down the Premier League table fast. Frank Lampard is under increasing pressure, and Gianfranco Zola has spoken out amid talk that his former team-mate is in line to be sacked.
Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has urged the club to stick by former team-mate Frank Lampard as pressure continues to build on the Blues boss.
Lampard has won just one of his last six games in charge, losing four, causing them to slip down the Premier League table.
Reports claim he is getting increasingly closer to being sacked by the Stamford Bridge board.
An upturn in form is believed to be enough to turn things round for Lampard.

And former Chelsea player and coach Zola insists that he is capable of exactly that if he is given enough time, support and resources.
"Well it’s certainly not ideal, otherwise we wouldn’t be having these conversations," Zola told talkSPORT.
“There are some issues that need to be addressed, something has to be improved for sure, but I believe Frank has the potential, the ability and he has the squad to make it better, that’s for sure and without question for me.

“Sometimes it’s about trust and believing a coach can do well, can face the circumstances and get the best out of it – I think that is the point, really.
“There’s still a lot to play this season.”
Chelsea are next in action on Sunday when they host League Two minnows Morecambe.
That is followed by a west London derby against Fulham the following Friday.
