Neymar: Pundits on whether PSG move was the right decision
PSG chief Leonardo agrees with Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at the Parc des Princes, according to reports. The Argentine is poised to become the Ligue 1 giants’ next manager soon, with Thomas Tuchel’s sacking officially confirmed on Tuesday. The German won back to back league titles and also steered them to the Champions League final during his time in charge.
PSG confirmed the sacking of Tuchel on their official website.
“After a thorough analysis of its sporting situation, Paris Saint-Germain decided to terminate Thomas Tuchel's contract,” it read.
“Arrived on the Parisian bench in July 2018, Thomas Tuchel led the capital's team 127 times, in all competitions, for a record of 95 wins, 13 draws and 19 defeats (337 goals scored, 103 goals conceded).
“In passing, he won 2 French Championships (2019, 2020), 1 Coupe de France (2020), 1 Coupe de la Ligue (2020), 2 Champions Trophies (2018, 2019) and led Paris Saint-Germain, last August, to the first UEFA Champions League final in the club’s history.”
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi then added: "I would like to thank Thomas Tuchel and his staff for everything they brought to the club.
“Thomas has put a lot of energy and passion into his work, and of course we will remember the good times we shared together. I wish him the best for his future.”

"I really like seeing Ole on the touchline when he's loud and demanding, because you can see his players do respond to it.
"Mauricio Pochettino going to Paris Saint-Germain might actually take a bit off pressure off Solskjaer at United.
"It's true that every time you have a bad result as Man United manager you're going to be under pressure. It even happened with Sir Alex Ferguson. He achieved some of the greatest things in football and he'd still have to answer questions about his future after a couple of bad results.
"So it's natural this will happen with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer too - he just has to get used to it.
"But I feel like the board have full confidence in Ole. They want consistency and the project seems to be working as far as giving young players game time goes.
"It's always hard when you're a young manager to have names like Pochettino being thrown around.”
