Chelsea: Lampard admits Werner struggling to adapt
Chelsea officials would consider making a move for Thomas Tuchel if they were to part ways with Frank Lampard, according to reports in Germany. Roman Abramovich will apparently consider firing the club legend if the Blues lose against Aston Villa on Monday evening.
Tuchel is now available after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
The German boss was dismissed on Christmas Eve – just after his PSG side beat Strasbourg 4-0.
But his departure took time to be completed, with talks taking place over the last couple of days to sort out the financials.
Now, however, it has been claimed that his exit has been wrapped up in a package worth £5.4million, making him free to negotiate with a new club.

He has been linked with Arsenal in the past, but it now appears he could be headed elsewhere in London.
Chelsea’s spluttering start to the season continued on Boxing Day as they were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal at the Emirates.
That was their third defeat in their last four games, leaving the Blues in eighth spot in the table.
They face Aston Villa – who are ahead of them in the league and have two games in hand – on Monday evening in what could be a crucial game for Lampard’s future.
