Arsenal: Adrian Clarke discusses Nicolas Pepe’s red card
Arsenal transfer target Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to leave Red Bull Salzburg in January, according to the Austrian club's sporting director Christian Freund. Szoboszlai has been linked with a move to Arsenal ahead of the winter window. Real Madrid, Tottenham and Salzburg's sister club RB Leipzig are all also said to be interested in signing the 20-year-old.
Arsenal are in need of a creative player from midfield, having missed out on Lyon's Houssem Aouar in the summer.
Aouar remains a target for Mikel Arteta but Szoboszlai would cost considerably less than the recently-capped France international.
Lyon initially wanted £54million for Aouar earlier this year, though that asking price reduced to around £46m following the financial impact of the coronavirus.
Szoboszlai, meanwhile, has a release clause in his Salzburg contract of just £22.5m.

Szoboszlai has scored 22 goals in 75 appearances for Salzburg since making the move from feeder club FC Liefering in 2018.
He hit the headlines earlier this month when he scored a stunning late winner against Iceland to send Hungary through to next summer's European Championships.
But Freund insists Szoboszlai still needs to add consistency to his game.
“That is definitely a next step in development so that he can tap this potential and this performance with every game," Freund added.
“(I’m) convinced that he can become one of the most interesting midfielders in Europe in the next few years.”
Germany great Lothar Matthaus is a fan of Szoboszlai and claims his former club Bayern Munich will be one of the teams interested in signing the midfielder.
“He is a gem,” Matthaus told Munchner Abendzeitung. “He’s like Kai Havertz.
“He could move to RB Leipzig in January, but I'm convinced that every top club in Europe has him on their list, including FC Bayern.
“In Hungary, Szoboszlai is already being compared to the great Ferenc Puskas.”
