Liverpool: Klopp reacts to Fabinho injury in Midtjylland victory
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been warned he doesn’t currently have the same attacking freedom in his team that Manchester City have, despite their win over West Ham on Saturday. Alan Curbishley believes the Reds don’t have as many players with the ability to unlock defences from midfield.

“When Liverpool are struggling with opening up defences, there aren’t too many players who can unlock a defence.
“Unlike Shaqiri today, though. that was a wonderful pass.”
Liverpool hero John Barnes disagreed with Curbishley, however, and said that when Thiago comes back they’ll have that creative option from midfield.
He did, however, concede that they didn’t have that opnion last year before they signed the Spaniard.

“You do have that option,” Barnes said, referring to Thiago.
“Last year, I don’t think they had that option. Fortunately [for Liverpool] Man City fell away.
“I think last year in the Watford game it became obvious that if the front three don’t perform, they won’t get anything else, but now they’ve solved that problem – apart from Thiago’s injury.”
