Tottenham: Mourinho praises ‘amazing’ 6-1 victory over Man Utd
Scott McTominay has lifted the lid on what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told his Manchester United players in the Old Trafford dressing room at half-time of their heavy 6-1 defeat to Tottenham.
Goals from Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Kane and a Heung-min Son brace had the visitors 4-1 up at the break.
United got on the board when Bruno Fernandes converted an early penalty but they went down to 10 men when Anthony Martial was dismissed for hitting Erik Lamela on the 28th minute.
"Difficult, so difficult to take in the atmosphere in the dressing room. Not easy at all," added McTominay.
"The pressure at this football club to play at the highest level every week is big, so if you want to take on that responsibility and play at the highest level, you have to show that on the pitch every single second you're on the pitch. You have to train like it's your last ever training session.

"And for us, the goals we conceded today were nowhere near good enough from what I've seen when I was playing. Difficult to take.
"That's football again. You get these shock results. They come around, hopefully never again in your career. Everybody in that dressing room, I can assure you, is very very hurt.
"It's been a difficult day and it's not as easy as you go home, see your family and it's not going to hurt. It's not like that."
Meanwhile, United legend Gary Neville laid into the players after the match.

"I can't believe we are where are. I thought before the game Manchester United grabbed defeat from victory," he said.
"I thought they handled lockdown well, the club did a lot of good things. Marcus Rashford's initiatives had won support up and down the country.
"They finished third in the league which I think everyone accepted was the best the club could do with the squad they had. They just had to go in the summer and do their off the pitch which was to recruit efficiently. Get some players out the club and get some in.
“There is no excuse for those 11 players who were out on that pitch today, they were absolutely pathetic. Their body language was terrible, it was spiritless and spineless."
