Paul Ince recalls moment he SQUARED UP to Sir Alex Ferguson
Paul Ince has apologised to Arsenal fans following his slip of the tongue regarding the club's statues last weekend. However, the former Manchester United and Liverpool man angrily hit back at Robbie Savage who appeared to mock him about the mistake.
On BT Sport last Sunday, Ince claimed outgoing Manchester City star David Silva did not deserve a statue outside the Etihad because Arsenal legends Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp didn't have one.
However, little-known to Ince, there are life-size statues of both Henry and Bergkamp around the outside of the Emirates Stadium bowl.
And former Wales midfielder Savage did not want him to forget about it during Friday's BT Sport coverage of the Europa League final.
Savage was preparing for co-commentary on the match between Sevilla and Inter Milan in Cologne, with Ince back in the London studio.
"What a way to go out in his last game for the football club - win a trophy, and you never know, there might be a statue of him outside the stadium," Savage said.
BT reporter Daryl Curry responded: "Is that for Incey?"

"Listen, I got it wrong, I apologise to the Arsenal fans, I got it wrong but at least I'm not... I don't know how old Robbie is but he's still got a ponytail in his hair.
"I don't know what he's doing with himself."
Henry's statue has been situated in its position at the Emirates since 2012 and Bergkamp's since 2014.
Ince received plenty of flak on social media following his comments.

"When you look at the Henrys, the Bergkamps, [Silva’s] up there," he said.
"But I don’t see a statue of Henry or Bergkamp outside Arsenal.”
