Man Utd: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘we need to strengthen the squad’
Manchester United have discovered their path through the 2020/21 season as the Premier League fixtures have been announced. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will look to improve on his side's third-placed finish by closing the gap to Liverpool and Manchester City.
United could have a fresh feel about them next season if Solskjaer gets his way in the transfer market.
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is the Red Devils' top target but they are also chasing Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish.
A new centre-back partner for Harry Maguire is sought after, along with a new striker to challenge Anthony Martial.
Although on paper it seems Solskjaer had a successful 2019/20 campaign, which included reaching three semi-finals, United had a closer points tally to relegated Bournemouth and Watford than champions Liverpool.
To close the gap to the top they must continue their recent good form when their campaign gets underway on September 12.
