Chambers is currently recovering from a serious knee injury he sustained against Chelsea in December.
The 25-year-old will miss the start of the new season but is hoping to be back to full fitness by October.
But with several defenders on the books at Arsenal, Chambers faces a battle to regain his place in the team.
And it means he is available for transfer if a suitable offer is made for him.

According to The Sun, newly-promoted Fulham are interested in signing Chambers for £12million this summer.
Two years ago, Chambers spent the season on loan at Craven Cottage and was named their Player of the Year.
Chambers' sale would provide Mikel Arteta with some much-needed funds to spend in the transfer market with the likes of Thomas Partey high on their wishlist but currently out of their price range.
