Manchester United and Chelsea are both on the lookout for a new centre-back and one option has become available who is wanting to move to the Premier League - Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.
The 31-year-old has a wealth of experience playing at the highest level and made 34 appearances across all competitions this season.
Bayern won the Bundesliga title and are in a strong position to go deep in the Champions League mini-tournament next month.
Boateng still harbours feelings of regret that he did not establish himself in the Premier League during his season at Manchester City.
The German made 24 appearances during the 2010/11 campaign but was then sold to Bayern where he has gone on to have a glittering career.
Now a return to England could be on the cards - if he can find a club.

“I would not say no," Boateng said. "I love to watch the Premier League. I also loved playing there. It helped me a lot to train with great players, world-class players.
"It was really unlucky because I got injured straight away and I didn't play the position they promised me.
"I don't know for the future. You never know. I would not say 'Oh I don't want to play there'.
