Chelsea transfer could be decided by player's father as Sevilla look to use secret weapon
Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso could be set to join Sevilla during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea: Marcos Alonso is nutmegged by Rob Green in training
Marcos Alonso could leave Chelsea this summer and is reportedly being pressured to join Sevilla by his father. The Spaniard has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge as the Blues overhaul their squad ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Frank Lampard has already secured the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner while the Chelsea boss is now targeting Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell.
The potential arrival of the Leicester left-back would see Alonso's game time dramatically lessen, despite the 29-year-old currently enjoying a run in the starting XI.

And Alonso, as well as fellow left-sided defender Emerson Palmieri, has been attracting attention from Serie A with ex-Chelsea managers Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri interested in reunions with their former players.
But now reports from Spain suggest Alonso could find a new home with Sevilla as the La Liga outfit look to bolster their defensive options.

Estadio Deportivo claim Sevilla have little funds to spend with other areas of the squad also requiring strengthening, but still harbour hopes of attracting Alonso.
Director of Football Monchi is said to be monitoring the left-back's situation and hopes the promise of regular game time in the Champions League could sweeten a deal.
The report also suggests Sevilla have a secret weapon in the form of Alonso's father, who played for Sevilla from January 1999 to March 2000.
Alonso Snr supposedly wants to see his son pull on the Sevilla shirt and could theoretically exert pressure on the player to make the move back to Spain.

It is reported that the ideal scenario for Sevilla would be a loan with an option to buy as they are currently unable to compete with their European rivals in a bidding war.
Alonso is not likely to be the only player potentially heading for the Stamford Bridge exit this summer, with Michy Batshuayi almost certain to depart if a buyer can be found.
Likewise, Tiemoue Bakayoko is considered surplus to requirements while there are also reports that Jorginho or N'Golo Kante could leave.
As for new arrivals, Chilwell has long been considered Chelsea's priority defensive target but recent reports claim the Blues are unwilling to match Leicester's valuation of the England international.
Alex Telles and Nicolas Tagliafico are considered cheaper alternatives, with the latter in particularly a likely signing with the Argentine enjoying an agreement with current club Ajax that he can move on this summer.
However, reports from Germany have indicated Atalanta ace Robin Gosens is now top of Lampard's wishlist with the left-back available for just £27.1m (€30m).
