Stuttgart secured promotion from Germany's second-tier to the Bundesliga and are on the look-out for defensive additions.
Arsenal’s former head of recruitment Sven Mislintat was appointed Stuttgart's sporting director in April 2019.
The 47-year-old oversaw the arrivals of numerous signings during his two-year spell in north London.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Lucas Torreira, Bernd Leno and Matteo Guendouzi were all recruited by Mislintat.
He was also responsible for the arrivals of Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Konstantinos Mavropanos, who arrived for £14.4m and £1.89m respectively.

“That meant that we acted independently, we knew about all markets and players in all positions that came into question.
“However, the new leadership work more strongly with what they are offered from clubs or agents through their own networks."
