Newcastle takeover will be 'difficult' for EPL to block says expert
Newcastle manager Steve Bruce has once again called for clarity on the ongoing takeover saga which is engulfing the club. It is nearly three months since owner Mike Ashley first agreed to sell the club to a Saudi-led consortium.
Two weeks ago, Premier League chief Richard Masters said an update would be made 'shortly'.
However, no further information has been given amid growing fears the deal could be scrapped.
With just three games left in the season, Bruce's future is also at stake.
And speaking ahead of Newcastle's game with Tottenham, Bruce reiterated the need for transparency.

"We all need clarity on that. I do, the club does, everybody does," Bruce said.
"We need a decision on that of course and then we can all take stock of that.
"If that happens then we'll all see what the change is, if it doesn't, then we have just got to try and prepare as best as we possibly can and get ready for next season. It's quite simple."
Bruce's comments come after BeIN SPORTS broadcaster Richard Keys claimed the takeover would be approved on Friday.

"There is no formula by which they, collectively or individually, pass any of the PL’s tests in that respect.
"No, it’ll happen because the British Govt want it to. It’ll happen because Arms deals will boost the British economy and the Saudi’s have doubtless promised to finance a bit of UK infrastructure.
"The Saudi’s will also have to make some serious moves to settle their ‘rights’ dispute with Qatar."
