Miguel Almiron's father has dismissed reports linking the Newcastle attacker with a move to Atletico Madrid. After a slow start to his career at St James' Park, Almiron appears to have finally settled into life in English football.
The Paraguayan has formed a good relationship with Allan Saint-Maximin and Joelinton under manager Steve Bruce.
And it has been reflected in his performances with eight goals in 38 appearances in all competitions this season.
Reports in Spain claimed Almiron was the subject of interest from Atletico but the 26-year-old's father Ruben insisted there has been no approach from the Spanish club.

And ahead of tonight's games, defender Emil Krafth says Newcastle need to show more ambition.
He told NUFC TV: "When you play against such a good team that's going to have the ball a lot, when we get the ball we need to try and keep it as much as possible. Otherwise it's going to be a long night.
"We just have to be tight and narrow, and when we get the ball we have to keep it.
"I think in this game [the FA Cup quarter final] we were a little too low, so when we won the ball we were really low.
"I think we can push up the team a little bit, win the ball and try to keep it.
"When we have the ball and have confidence, we have a team that wants to play as well.
"We need to have the confidence to do that."
