Graeme Souness sends Marcus Rashford message to Anthony Martial after Man Utd hat-trick
Manchester United star Anthony Martial can get even better according to Graeme Souness.
Marcus Rashford ‘is a top human being’ says Solskjaer
Manchester United forward Anthony Martial would be even better if he had the same enthusiasm for the game as team-mate Marcus Rashford, according to Liverpool legend Graeme Souness. Martial scored a hat-trick in United's 3-0 win over Sheffield United on Wednesday. It was the first treble in the Frenchman's career and first by any United player in the Premier League since Robin van Persie achieved the feat in 2013.
Martial now has 14 goals in the league this season having played the majority of the campaign as the club's centre-forward.
Souness says there is no doubting the Frenchman's ability but claims he does not "seem interested" at times and reckons he could learn from Rashford.
"Anticipation, being in the right place at the right time, that sixth sense top strikers have," Souness said while discussing Martial's goals on Sky Sports.
"The thing about the first two [goals], they were reactionary his first two goals but the third one he had to do a bit of thinking - it was class.

"But we know he's class, he's got everything to be a top, top player.
"If he could just have the same enthusiasm as Marcus Rashford for the game.

"Maybe that's what it is, to score early in every game he plays and he stays interested."
Meanwhile, United legend Gary Neville says Martial has been helped by the signing of Bruno Fernandes in January.
Fernandes played a part in Martial's third goal against the Blades, which was delightfully finished by the 24-year-old.
"I think it's a big moment," Neville said on commentary.
"He's certainly had a better season I think as United have got better, with better players in and around him.
"If you think about that goal, the flick from Bruno Fernandes is wonderful, that's the bit of magic in that goal. The rest of it is more simple.
"He's been given his opportunity, he's cried out to be given a chance as Manchester United's No 9.
"He's getting it, Rashford's settled in on that left-hand side.
"With Fernandes closer to them, he's now supplying the passes and the service that they need."
