Maupay played a key role in the two biggest moments at the Amex Stadium as Brighton hosted Arsenal.
In the first half, Maupay was involved in a coming together with Bernd Leno which resulted in the goalkeeper landing awkwardly and injuring his knee.
Nicolas Pepe gave Arsenal the lead with a superb curling shot but Lewis Dunk got Brighton level just seven minutes later.
Then in the fifth minute of stoppage time, Maupay combined with substitute Aaron Connolly and flicked a shot past Emi Martinez to give Brighton all three points.

At the end of the match, Maupay and Matteo Guendouzi clashed in a heated exchange which also saw the Arsenal midfielder put his hand on the Brighton player's throat.
After the match, Maupay was unrepentant and took aim at Guendouzi and the Arsenal players.
"One of them was talking the whole game and saying really bad things," said Maupay.
"When I scored I just had to say 'listen, that is what happens when you say bad things on the pitch'.
