Man City player ratings vs Arsenal: De Bruyne masterclass and Sterling shines
Manchester City player ratings - Kevin De Bruyne was the star of the show as City dismantled Arsenal in their first game since the restart.
Man City: Guardiola reflects on performance against Arsenal
Manchester City kicked off their Premier League restart with a comfortable win over Arsenal. Raheem Sterling scored the first goal since the restart in the first half and Kevin de Bruyne the second from the spot. Phil Foden rounded the victory off in injury time.
In truth if felt like little more than a training exercise after the second goal went in and David Luiz’s sending off.
Arsenal lost two players - Granit Xhaka and Pablo Mari - to injury in the first 24 minutes, before Luiz was sent off to wrap up a miserable evening for the Gunners.
The one negative for City was the horror injury to Eric Garcia, who took a huge knock from Ederson when he rushed out of his goal.
He had to be carried off on a stretcher after several minutes of attention on the pitch.
City's win means Liverpool cannot lift the Premier League trophy this weekend when they face Everton on Sunday.
