Kai Havertz reveals in 2019 how he was introduced to football
Liverpool may decide to sign Kai Havertz instead of Timo Werner in the summer transfer window. The Bundesliga became the first major football league to restart last week following the coronavirus outbreak and the Reds have been keeping a close eye on the competition's finest players.
Kop boss Jurgen Klopp appears keen to add even more firepower to his attack with the club linked with a number of big names, such as Havertz and Werner.
According to Liverpool.com, however, the Merseysiders may opt for the Bayer Leverkusen star because he is more suited to Klopp's system.
The attacking midfielder has been linked with a host of Europe's top clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham, following a fine season that has seen him record a total of 14 goals and eight assists in 36 matches across all competitions.
The 20-year-old appears to be among the Premier League toppers' top targets along with RB Leipzig star Werner, who has been in phenomenal form this season.

The youngster, though, has a contract that binds him to the BayArena until June 2022 and the Bundesliga giants won't let him go for less than £80million.
Havertz previously said: "I’m ready to take a big step, and I like challenges. For me, this also includes abroad.
“Leverkusen are a great club, I feel good. I have always said that. But of course I want to take the next step in my career at some point. That’s my ambition.
“The coach is a very important person for me. It must be a good fit. You can see that with our coach, Peter Bosz. For me, the sporting direction of the club is also reflected in the choice of coach.”
