Man Utd: Bruno Fernandes is a ‘liability’ claims Ryan Giggs
Manchester United great Ryan Giggs has revealed he cannot stand watching his celebration which followed the infamous goal against Arsenal in the 1999 FA Cup semi-final. After intercepting a pass from Patrick Vieira inside his own half, Giggs dribbled past a number of Arsenal players before firing a powerful shot past England goalkeeper David Seaman.
The goal put United 2-1 ahead in extra time of the semi-final replay at Villa Park and Sir Alex Ferguson's side held on with 10 men to reach the final in their infamous treble season.
Giggs' goal will also be remembered for his celebration afterwards, where he took off his shirt and swung it around his head while sprinting off wildly.
Team-mate Paul Scholes started to take his shirt off but thought better of it - something Giggs wishes Scholes followed through with.
"I stop as soon as the ball hits the net, I don't want to see that celebration," he told Sky Sports.
