West Ham: Jack Wilshere plays football against wife Andriani
Jack Wilshere has admitted his decision to leave Arsenal for West Ham has not worked out the way he wanted. Wilshere chose to reject Arsenal's new contract offer in 2018 and left at the end of the campaign on a free transfer. West Ham snapped the midfielder up on a three-year deal.
However, Wilshere has made just a total of 16 appearances for the Hammers in an injury-hit spell at the London Stadium.
The 28-year-old has been hampered by injuries for several years now, the latest of which being a groin problem which has kept him out since October 2019.
Speaking to Stadium Astro, Wilshere has admitted he has played nowhere near the amount of games he would have liked for boyhood club West Ham since he arrived.
"It hasn't worked out for me, I'll be honest," Wilshere said.

"Then I made the decision to leave Arsenal and join West Ham."
Speaking last month, Arsenal boss and Wilshere's former team-mate Mikel Arteta spoke of his sadness about the midfielder's career so far.
"It's very sad with Jack," Arteta said.
"When I joined here and watched him play every day in training, you would say he could be one of the best midfielders," he said.
