Chelsea winger Willian has sent a clear message to manager Frank Lampard that he wants to stay at the club this summer, while also revealing that he recently passed his British citizenship test. The 31-year-old is in the final year of his contract and as yet no new deal has been agreed with the Blues.
This means he is currently free to speak to other teams about joining them in a free transfer in the summer, but in a recent article the Brazil international admitted that Britain is his second home and that he and his family have no plans on leaving London.
"I have played for Chelsea for more than six years now, and I can honestly say that I am very happy here,” he wrote in a column for The Players' Tribune.
"If you ask my wife if she wants to leave London, she'll say no.

“Of course, Brazil is Brazil, right? It's our home, our culture. We always feel good when we go there on holiday and see family and friends, but London is my second home.
"In fact, I recently passed a British citizenship test. Man, it was hard. It's British history in a nutshell.
“Some questions are so difficult that not even some of my British friends knew the answers!
