Roy Keane explains why Man Utd beating Liverpool would not be an upset (Image: Getty)
Roy Keane believes it will not be an upset if Manchester United beat Liverpool at Anfield today. Jurgen Klopp’s men sit top of the league, 27 points ahead of fifth-placed United with one game in hand on their arch rivals.
The task for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side is daunting; travelling to the cauldron of Anfield where Liverpool have not lost in the league since April 2017, on top of their current 38-game unbeaten run in the top-flight.
United also travel to Merseyside without talisman Marcus Rashford, who scored against the Reds at Old Trafford in October.
That 1-1 draw remains the only Premier League game this season in which Liverpool have dropped points, and the bookies believe that statistic will ring true come the final whistle this evening.
United are as long 7/1 underdogs with some outlets to claim victory on their nemeses’ turf, but the club’s former captain Keane does not see the contest as that lopsided.
