All team’s January transfer window simulated by Football Manager - Man Utd, Arsenal shock
Transfer window deals are coming thick and fast for the Premier League this season, with Liverpool and West Ham already signing players. Football Manager has simulated every team’s January dealings, and there are some shocks for Manchester United and Arsenal fans.
Man Utd ‘desperately need’ to make signings says expert
The January transfer window is well underway, with Liverpool already confirming the signing of Takumi Minamino, and West Ham United signing former goalkeeper Darren Randolph. Boardroom computer game Football Manager simulated the entire season before a ball was kicked, including all the dealings in the January window.
Manchester United and Arsenal both failed to sign any players in the January window, in the simulated season.
Both clubs were struggling in the league at the time, and had several players leave during the winter window. But, no additions were made by either of the club’s managers.
Crystal Palace were the biggest spenders in January, signing Hull City star striker Jarrod Bowen, in a £20million deal.
West Ham also made a number of signings, spending a similar amount in total.

The Hammers signed 17-year-old midfielder Mohammed Ihattaren from PSV Eindhoven, for £13m.
They also confirmed the loan signing of Barcelona starlet Carlos Alena.
There were some surprising departures throughout the window, however.
Manchester City had 11 players leave throughout the month, including promising defender Eric Garcia, who joined Bolton Wanderers until the end of the season on loan.

Manchester United allowed Brandon Williams and Joe Garner to leave on loan. They also finally managed to sell out-of-favour Marcos Rojo for £10m.
Everton saw Theo Walcott leave the club on loan, as well as striker Cenk Tosun.
Morgan Schneiderlin was taken off the books, after the completed an £8m move to Lokomotiv Moscow.
Meanwhile, Chelsea weren’t able to make any new signings, as they were still in the middle of a transfer embargo.
But, Frank Lampard did allow eight players to leave on loan, including right-back Davide Zappacosta.
