Everton: Carlo Ancelotti discusses his influence on the team
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has hinted that he will not be looking to do too much spending at the club in the January transfer window by revealing talks with director of football Marcel Brands have centred around providing opportunities for the Toffees' academy players. Ancelotti was appointed Everton boss just before the end of the year.

Curtis Jones’ screamer was enough to win the game for Liverpool’s young side - something which has clearly buoyed Ancelotti.
That's because the Italian has opened up on a chat that he’s had with Brands about how he’d like to bring more of the Everton youth team into the first-team squad.
“The first team has to have a strong relationship with the academy,” said the Everton boss.

“It would be good to have players come from the academy into the first team.”
Ancelotti recently named 18-year-old Anthony Gordon in Everton’s side against Manchester City.
The former AC Milan boss went on to say that he was impressed with the quality Gordon has shown in Everton training.
“Anthony Gordon is working with us. I see a lot of quality in him,” Ancelotti added.
