Chelsea: Giroud demands 'more important role' next season
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud does not want to join Aston Villa or Newcastle of the potential to be involved in a relegation battle. The Blues front man would rather force through a move to Italy and secure a reunion with Antonio Conte at Inter Milan.

And now he is said to be looking for a way out of Chelsea as he wants to play more regular football, particularly with his place in France's Euro 2020 plans under threat
Villa and Newcastle are reportedly two clubs interested in signing the former Arsenal player, as are Inter.
But according to the Telegraph, Giroud would rather play for Inter in Serie A, as opposed to getting himself into a relegation dogfight with either Villa or Newcastle.

Giroud was the competition’s top scorer last season with 13 goals as Chelsea won the entire tournament by beating Arsenal 4-1 in the final.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has already spoken about Giroud’s transfer situation, stating that it’s very possible he could move from the west London club this month.
"There's no update on Ollie, but I've spoken with him," Lampard said.
"If the conditions are that it's something he really wants to do and it works for the club, for me and the squad then it's something that could happen.
