Gedson Fernandes: Midfielder trains with Benfica squad
West Ham have reportedly reached an agreement with Middlesbrough to sign Darren Randolph for a fee worth £4million and are closing in on Gedson Fernandes. David Moyes made it clear last week that he would be entering the January transfer window with the intention of strengthening his squad.

The 32-year-old has experience of playing with West Ham having spent two years with the club before moving to Middlesbrough in 2017.
He made 42 appearances in the 24 months he spent with West Ham initially and will come in as back-up to Fabianski after the club lost faith in Roberto.
The Spaniard shot-stopper was given a chance between the sticks when Fabianski was out with a hip injury but he struggled to take his chance and eventually lost his place to third choice David Martin.
Randolph though will not be available for West Ham immediately though as he is recovering from a thigh injury.
The Hammers are also hoping to bring in a new midfielder with Fernandes topping their list of targets.
They face heavy competition from Everton, while Lyon and AC Milan have also been linked with the highly-rated 20-year-old.
But West Ham are reportedly set to hold crunch talks with Benfica on Tuesday in a bid to beat their competition to his signature.
It is said the Hammers are proposing take Fernandes on an 18-month loan with an option to buy.
