Wilfried Zaha has to leave Crystal Palace says pundit
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has reportedly pulled the plug on any transfer for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha because of his astronomical wage demands. The Blues are looking to strengthen in the current window after their successful appeal against their ban.
Zaha was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but Lampard is concerned about the impact on the dressing room if the Blues bow to his wage demands.
Transfer expert Ian McGarry has revealed the plug has been pulled on any deal as a result.
He told Reach PLC’s Transfer Window Podcast: “They also had an interest in Crystal Palace’s left-sided attacking midfielder Wilfried Zaha, similar kind of player but 28.

“There’s only two players in the first-team who are on in excess of £200,000-a-week.
“Zaha is looking for substantially more than that and Frank Lampard has said he doesn’t want a player coming in on that kind of salary when they are currently in negotiations over new contracts for Tammy Abraham, with Mason Mount and Reece James.”
Chelsea return to action later today when they take on Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round.
And Lampard will look to take the first step to his first silverware for the club as manager after a glittering career as a player.
