Arsenal should appoint Carlo Ancelotti as manager says pundit
Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly agreed a deal in principle to become the new manager of Everton according to Sky Sports. The Italian is believed to have held successful talks about taking over as boss on Monday and things look to have move pretty quickly.
Sky Sports News reported earlier today that Ancelotti had arrived on Merseyside to continue talks with the Toffees about potentially taking over as boss.
Multiple outlets then moved to dismiss the claims, with many stating that Ancelotti was in fact in Rome with his wife.
He is said to be preparing to travel to Vancouver for a break over the festive period, but that could well now change.
Everton have put Duncan Ferguson in temporary charge of the club while they continue the search for a new manager.

One player who would be inspired by the appointment of Ancelotti is Moise Kean.
The young striker has suffered a difficult start to life on Merseyside since arriving from Juventus in the summer.
He was subbed off by Duncan Ferguson at Old Trafford on Sunday in humiliating fashion, despite being only be introduced to the fray 18 minutes before.
Ancelotti has previously praised Kean in the press and highlighted that he needs to be nurtured in the right fashion, something he could be the man to do.
Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has since also confirmed that a deal is close between the two parties.
“Carlo Ancelotti is getting closer to returning to coaching in the Premier League,” Di Marzio said.
“The Italian coach, who in recent days was dismissed from Naples, has been in England since this afternoon to meet Everton after the positive contacts of the past few hours.
“A face to face rather than positive, so much so that the agreement between Ancelotti and Everton is now in closing: parts that are getting closer, even if all the details have not yet been defined.
“Precisely for this reason, in fact Ancelotti - as well as his staff - has not yet initiated the procedures for terminating the contract with Napoli, a necessary step in order to sign with a new club.”
