Arsenal: Ljungberg working with a 'skeleton crew' says Gray
Arsenal fans are fuming that their club are close to appointing Mikel Arteta as their next manager while 16th-placed Everton are in the process of trying to hire three-time Champions League winner Carlo Ancelotti as their next boss.
Arsenal sacked Unai Emery two weeks ago before Freddie Ljungbgerg took over as interim boss, though he hasn’t performed much better as manager of the north London side.
Ancelotti was sacked by Napoli last week and was immediately linked with the Arsenal job but Sky Sports are reporting that the Italian is in the UK to do a deal with the Toffees - although reports elsewhere claim otherwise and that he is in Rome and headed to Canada later this week.
Meanwhile Arteta, whose Manchester City side beat Arsenal 3-0 on Sunday, is in talks with the Gunners to take over as their permanent manager.

One wrote in a little more detail: “The pea-sized brains of the combined might of the Arsenal hierarchy have concluded that an untried number 2 at a club with limitless funds is better than a serial winner such as Allegri or Ancelotti. We will be back here in 12 months”
One tweet read: “So arsenal are going for Arteta.... while Ancelotti is going Everton.”
This fan bluntly wrote: “Everton main candidate Ancelotti, Arsenal main candidate Arteta wtf is going on with our club.”
Another added: “Arsenal are going for Arteta when Ancelotti is available?”
