FIFA Team of the Year 2019: EA Sports reveals 55-man shortlist including Messi and Ronaldo
EA Sports have released their FIFA 20 Team of the Year shortlist with fans getting the opportunity to have their say.

EA Sports have released their FIFA 20 Team of the Year (TOTY) shortlist with fans getting the opportunity to have their say. The TOTY is one of the most highly anticipated releases for Ultimate Team players of FIFA 20 and EA Sports have decided to let fans have their say.
EA Sports has released a 55-man shortlist for the TOTY and have also decided for the first time ever that it will be a fan-driven vote.
The game's developer has picked the players on the shortlist off their real-world performance in 2019.
The voting opened on Thursday December 12 and will close at 11:59pm on December 20, with the final TOTY to be announced in January.
And when the 2020 announcement is made players will also have the chance of getting special TOTY player items in FUT packs for a limited time.

Several Premier League clubs have managed to get players into the shortlist but some teams are considerably better represented than others.
Liverpool, who are currently top of the Premier League, lead the way with 10 nominees and are followed closely by Manchester City on seven.
Tottenham, who decided to sack Mauricio Pochettino this season, have four nominees, with Arsenal and Chelsea both having just one player on the shortlist.
Although Manchester United do not have a single player making the cut.
